About Us

From the manifest office to the instructors, the staff at Skydive Atlanta are world class. All of our instructors are certified by the United States Parachute Association. This means that they have all passed several rigorous courses demonstrating their skills to an Instructor Examiner. Many are former military and several have thousands of skydives at this facility.

Tandem instructors have a minimum 500 skydives, 3 years in the sport, and hold a USPA D license (master skydiver). This means he or she has demonstrated expert proficiency in landing parachutes on target as well as expert knowledge and experience in a variety of areas.

Accelerated Freefall instructors have a minimum of 6 hours of freefall time (approximately 350+ jumps)and a C license (advanced skydiver).

Our pilots go through several months of expertly supervised training in our aircraft prior to flying solo. All pilots are Commercial and Instrument rated.

Our packers are all packing under the direct supervision of FAA Senior or Master Riggers. Before packing actual parachutes to be used, all must complete several weeks of training where they not only demonstrate packing proficiency but learn about potential malfunctions, then must demonstrate the ability to find and remove them unassisted. Before packing tandem parachutes, they must pack several hundred sport parachutes and complete additional specialized training.
