| 1.) Skydive Atlanta has been in business more than twice as long as our competitors! |
Skydive Atlanta has been in business for 22 years. We started as Skydive North Georgia in Jasper, GA in 1985.
After moving to our Thomaston facility in 1998, we have continued to provide Georgia's highest quality skydiving experience.
|
| 2.) Skydive Atlanta puts your safety first. |
Skydive Atlanta does not treat your skydive as a carnival ride. We do not book as many jumpers each day as possible. You will develop a personal relationship with your instructor and feel comfortable before you go up, not meet him just before you climb on the plane as with other companies.
Other facilities are willing to put students up in any wind condition regardless of safety. We are here to make profit but committed to preserving your safety first.
|
| 3.) Skydive Atlanta is the only skydiving facility in Georgia certified by the US Department of Defense to carry military paratroopers. |
The training home of the US Army/Fort Benning Parachute Demonstration team, The Silver Wings, Skydive Atlanta is subject to complete inspections by the Department of Defense every 2 years.
No other facility meets such exacting standards. In addition, our pilots attend formal retraining every 2 years using high tech aircraft simulators.
|
| 4.) Skydive Atlanta has the newest, most state of the art equipment in the industry. |
While some companies settle for second hand equipment, Skydive Atlanta uses only the latest equipment purchased new from the manufacturer.
We have spent over $50,000 since May of 2006 on new equipment. We constantly update our equipment as well as regularly re-certifying harnesses with the latest safety modifications.
All of Skydive Atlanta's parachute rigs are equipped with "Cypres" onboard computer Automatic Activation Devices. These devices are designed to activate your parachute automatically in a worst case scenario.
Our aircraft are maintained to the highest industry standards and are equipped with onboard weather radar, Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS), and air conditioning.
|
| 5.) No hidden fees, bait and switch, or other deceptive business practices at Skydive Atlanta. |
At Skydive Atlanta all of our skydives are from our largest turbine powered aircraft and are from 14,000 feet, the highest you can legally go in America without oxygen.
Our prices are all inclusive, meaning no bogus hidden fees for "extra altitude", "equipment rental", "weather insurance", or "larger aircraft".
|
| 6.) At Skydive Atlanta you are dealing directly with the skydiving facility not a marketing company. |
Lately there has been a large influx of marketing companies that sell gift certificates for skydiving. These companies are often not affiliated with any skydiving facility.
Often, these companies advertise under several names, deceiving the customer into believing they are going to a facility much closer than it really is as well as conveying the perception that the customer was shopping around.
In addition, you may pay for a jump and be billed additional fees by the marketing company, then show up only to find what you bought was from a low altitude or a tiny aircraft.
The marketing company then takes no responsibilty for what happens after the sale is made. Skydive Atlanta is not a large corporation and we stand behind our sales and service.
